...EVERYTHING IS
REMOVABLE, EVEN THE CONSOLE. THERE IS A REMOVABLE ½”
MARINE PLY FLOOR IN THE COCKPIT AND ALL THE LOCKERS.
THE CONSOLE AND FORWARD THWART ARE THRU BOLTED TO
BLOCKING THAT WAS BONDED TO THE HULL, ALSO ALL
MATING SURFACES ARE RUBBER MOUNTED WITH 1”x1/4”
WEATHER STRIPPING. THE SIDE DECKS WERE NARROWED TO
6” AND TRIMMED IN MAHOGANY, ALL HARDWARE IS
STAINLESS STEEL. WE ALSO ADDED A NICE STEREO USING
THE FOAM FILLED FLOAT TANKS AS SPEAKER CABINETS.
THE 25HP MARINER PUSHES
HER PRETTY GOOD. WE NEVER MEASURED THE SPEED,
HOWEVER IF I HAD TO GUESS, ONE PERSON 30 MPH, AND
WITH TWO, 25 MPH. SHE CAN HANDLE A PRETTY GOOD LOAD
BUT YOU SACRIFICE SPEED.
HER MAIDEN VOYAGE WAS A
RUN FROM OUR MARINA ON THE NORTH EAST RIVER ON THE
CHESAPEAKE, TO GEORGE TOWN ON THE SASAFRASS RIVER. A
ROUND TRIP OF ABOUT 60 MILES. THERE WAS A PRETTY
GOOD WIND AND CHOP ON THE BAY FOR THE RIDE OVER.
STAYING DRY WAS OUR NUMBER ONE PRIORITY, WITH MY
WIFE AND SON AND MYSELF ONBOARD I WAS VERY HAPPY
WITH THE RIDE. IT IS EASY TO TRIM THE BOAT, SO YOU
GET JUST THE RIGHT AMOUNT OF BOW OUT OF THE WATER
WITHOUT FALLING OFF PLANE.
HER MAIN FUNCTION IS A
TENDER FOR OUR BIG BOAT, THE REASON FOR CHOOSING
YOUR DESIGN WAS HER DIMENSIONS. AT 14’ LOA SHE TOWS
VERY WELL, AND TIES OFF PERPENDICULAR TO THE SWIM
PLATFORM WHILE IN A STANDARD 15’ SLIP. ITS NICE TO
HAVE THE MOTOR INBOARD OUT OF THE WAY OF THE PILING
ETC… WHEN WE TRAVEL AROUND THE BAY SHE IS A GOOD
TENDER FOR RESTAURANTS, SIGHT SEEING, WATER TAXI,
SKIING, ETC..

THIS IS MY THIRD BOAT
BUILDING PROJECT, AND MY FIRST STITCH AND GLUE BOAT.
IT TOOK ME THREE MONTHS START TO FINISH AND I HAD NO
PROBLEMS TO SPEAK OF. THE PLANS WERE VERY CLEAR AND
EASY TO FOLLOW. THIS PROJECT WAS BY FAR THE MOST
ENJOYABLE BOAT BUILDING EXPERIENCE TO DATE.
